Royal Visit—Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall Coming to Cayman

News |

A buzz is in the air as Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla end their Caribbean tour in the Cayman Islands, arriving to the island on March 27, 2019.

The royal family’s sojourn will include the first ever official royal visit to neighboring Cuba, as well as stops in a number of “Commonwealth realms” in the region, including Barbados, Grenada, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

Upon arrival in Grand Cayman, the Prince and Duchess will formally open the newly renovated Owen Roberts International Airport (GCM). This highly anticipated redevelopment promises to accommodate the future growth in direct flights to Grand Cayman from major North American cities.

The members of the royal family will have the opportunity to experience all that the Cayman Islands have to offer, including the authenticity of our warm, welcoming people and the warm weather of spring—an ideal time to unwind, rejuvenate and enjoy island life with lots of land and water based family fun activities. The Prince, on his second official visit, and the Duchess, on her first, will also visit Cayman Brac and Little Cayman to attend several engagements on sustainability and marine conservation.

Don’t miss your chance to join in all the excitement!
